ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women at the Jinnah Convention Centre on July 12–13, 2026.
The two-day conference will bring together ministers, delegates and experts from OIC member states to discuss key issues related to women’s empowerment, education, health, economic participation and social welfare.
In view of the high-level event, Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a special traffic plan for the federal capital.
According to the traffic advisory, the plan will remain in effect from 8:00 AM on July 11, 2026 to 12:00 PM on July 13, 2026.
Motorists have been advised to avoid routes leading to the Jinnah Convention Centre during the conference hours and to follow diversions and instructions issued by traffic officials. Additional personnel will be deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic and security.
Officials said the arrangements have been made to facilitate delegates and to minimize public inconvenience during the event.
The 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women is expected to result in key recommendations and joint action plans to advance the status of women across OIC countries.
