RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has launched a new tourist package visa service for citizens of Pakistan and six other countries as part of efforts to simplify travel procedures and attract more international visitors.
The Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia Ahmed Al Khateeb told that there have been many initiatives taken by his country since the Vision 2030 to make the traveling procedure simple for tourists including electronic visas, visa on arrival services and transit visas.
As stated by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, the new tourist package visa facility has been launched on trial basis for the citizens of Pakistan, Mexico, Indonesia, and Egypt. At the same time, the facility has been made available for travellers coming from India, Bangladesh, and Jordan.
It is to mention here that the visas will be issued within a period of maximum 48 hours after purchasing a valid tourism package.
Saudi Arabia will not issue a final exit visa if you make this minor mistake
Meanwhile, Foreign residents planning to leave Saudi Arabia on a final exit visa must ensure that no vehicle is registered in their name, as ownership of a registered vehicle can prevent the issuance of the visa.
Under Saudi regulations, expatriates are not eligible for a final exit visa while a vehicle remains registered under their name.
To meet the requirement, residents intending to leave the Kingdom must either transfer ownership of the vehicle to a new owner through the Absher platform or an authorised vehicle showroom. The vehicle must have a valid periodic inspection and insurance for the ownership transfer to be completed.
Alternatively, if the vehicle is no longer roadworthy, it can be handed over to a registered vehicle scrapyard, after which its registration can be permanently cancelled through the Absher platform.
Authorities have also advised residents to clear all outstanding traffic fines before transferring or scrapping a vehicle, as unpaid violations will prevent the completion of the process and delay the issuance of a final exit visa.
Once the vehicle is fully removed from the individual’s records in the system, the applicant becomes eligible to obtain a final exit visa.
