PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, while paying tribute to the great national hero Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed, who was awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, on his martyrdom, said that the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs for the defence of the beloved homeland will always be a source of pride for the nation.
In his message, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed, by displaying extraordinary bravery, courage, and professionalism in the 1999 Kargil War, thwarted the evil designs of the enemy and created a new history of bravery and sacrifice by sacrificing his life. He said that his eternal sacrifice for the sake of the homeland will always be remembered in golden letters.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that the great sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs are the guarantee of the country’s security, sovereignty, and stability. The entire nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and will always be guided by their spirit of selflessness.
The Governor said that the life, character, and martyrdom of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed are a beacon of light for the younger generation, inspiring them with patriotism, bravery, a sense of duty, and the spirit of sacrificing their lives for the country.
He further said that it is the joint responsibility of the state and the entire nation to ensure the honour, respect, and welfare of the families of the martyrs. He expressed the resolve that all resources will be utilized to fulfil the mission of the martyrs and provide all possible support to their families.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finally prayed that Allah Almighty may elevate the ranks of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed and grant Pakistan peace, stability, and prosperity always.
