The Punjab government has launched online applications for Phase II (Batch II) of the CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme, offering selected participants a monthly stipend of Rs60,000 for a three-month internship.
Organized by the Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department, the programme aims to equip young graduates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to contribute to climate governance, environmental policymaking and sustainable development.
The initiative seeks to develop a new generation of climate warriors capable of addressing environmental challenges through leadership and innovation.
Under the programme, 50% of the internship positions have been reserved for female candidates to encourage greater participation of women in environmental leadership.
Selected interns will receive district-level field training, access to a Learning Management System (LMS), visits to Environment Protection Agency (EPA) field offices, opportunities to work on capstone projects, certification related to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be 20 to 27 years of age on the application closing date.
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
The programme is open to graduates in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Media Studies, Journalism and Law.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official EPA Punjab online portal by creating an account and uploading their academic transcripts, Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and domicile certificate.
The deadline for submitting online applications is July 18, 2026. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
