ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani hacker group has reportedly claimed responsibility for a cyberattack targeting India’s major media conglomerate Sun TV Network, alleging that the organization’s domain was temporarily taken offline and replaced with pro-Pakistan content.

According to circulating claims on social media, the hackers claimed that they had managed to penetrate part of the network’s infrastructure on the internet, but there has been no verification of the claim from any side of the Sun TV Network or from any authority in India.

Elsewhere, there have been rumors about intensified surveillance activities in the Arabian Sea area, with the report pointing out that the Indian intelligence plane flew close to the waters along the coast of Pakistan. These claims have not been officially confirmed.

Meanwhile, reports also indicate that Pakistan Navy units conducted FPV drone exercises under a training operation reportedly named “Ababeel.” Additionally, security sources claim that a drone entering Pakistani airspace from the Afghan border area in Khyber district was intercepted and destroyed by security forces.

Authorities from both sides have not issued detailed official statements confirming these incidents, and the situation remains based on preliminary and unverified reports.
