KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks and financial institutions across the country will remain closed for public dealings on July 1 on the occasion of the annual bank holiday.
As per the central bank’s announcement, all commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks will observe the holiday from the day and will not conduct any customer transactions on Wednesday.
But the employees of all banks will attend office as usual, and all the branches will remain closed to the general public.
It has been clarified that the bank holiday will be for customer transactions only.
