ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has decided to launch a nationwide crackdown on Afghan nationals residing in the country without valid visas, with enforcement set to begin on July 10, 2026.
According to the ministry, Afghan nationals found staying in Pakistan without a valid visa will be immediately arrested from the effective date.
Directives have been issued to the administrations of all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad to ensure the strict implementation of the decision.
The Ministry of Interior has instructed authorities to intensify the campaign against undocumented Afghan nationals, including their arrest and deportation. Officials have also been directed to submit daily reports on arrests and enforcement actions to the ministry.
The nationwide operation against illegal residents will officially commence on July 10, with authorities instructed to ensure immediate and full compliance with the ministry’s orders.
