Students at a local educational institution have raised concerns over a teacher’s frequent use of social media during classroom sessions, claiming it disrupts lessons and reduces instructional time.
According to several students, the teacher often checks and scrolls through social media platforms while class is in progress, leaving students without proper guidance or explanations. They alleged that the habit has negatively affected their learning experience and classroom engagement.
”We come to class to learn, but valuable teaching time is being lost,” one student said, requesting anonymity.
Some students have reportedly asked the school administration to look into the matter and ensure that classroom time is used exclusively for teaching. Education experts have long warned that excessive social media use can become a distraction in learning environments if it interferes with instruction.
