At least five terrorists were gunned down in attack on Rangers installations near Gulshan-e-Iqbal in Karachi on Saturday evening.

Intelligence sources said a group of terrorists packed with an explosive-laden vehicle, first detonated a bomb at 8:10 pm, followed by a gunfire. The attack was carried out on the Rangers’ transport installations, which fall within the boundaries of Sector Headquarters Bhittai Rangers.

The intelligence sources said that after the explosion, from three four terrorists tried to entered the premises of Rangers Installation. At the time, an exchange of fire started between Rangers personnel and terrorists.

During the firing, the alert guards employed at gate acted swiftly and resultantly, five terrorists were killed. No Rangers personnel injured in the action. Thus, the terrorists attempting to enter the premises of the Rangers installations was foiled timely.
