Traders association of Mirpur Azad Kashmir’s representatives on Saturday announced they have no association with banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).

Addressing a press conference at the Kashmir Press Club, Mirpur, Azmat Khan accompanied by traders said that they would have no association with banned Joint Awami Action Committee.

On this occasion, the traders said that they represent the business community and stand with the peace and stability in the region. The speakers said that the activities of the Awami Action Committee are against the national interests and that it is working on the “agenda of India”.

They said that the AAC was initially highlighting public issues and rights, but now it has deviated from its original purpose and is going into matters that are not directly related to public issues.

The traders were of the views that some of the actions of the committee have created unrest among the public and the business community. The traders said that “we condemn the current policies and activities of the banned AAC and express complete disassociation from it,”.

Pakistan is our identity and the Pakistani Armed Forces are the guarantor of our safety and security. They expressed their determination that they stand with Pakistan and the Pakistani Armed Forces and will not support any move that would have a negative impact on the peace or business activities of the region.

He clarified that all the markets of Mirpur are open as usual and business activities are going on smoothly.
