DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Four research students of the Institute of Biological Sciences of Gomal University have been selected for Ph.D. research scholarships by the provincial Wildlife Department.
These scholarships are awarded in research projects related to important areas such as biodiversity, wildlife, and environmental protection. The four selected scholars are Aram Habib, Mudassar Khan, Shawana Huma, and Zahra.
According to the university, the scholars’ research proposals were selected for the scholarship by an expert committee after various scientific criteria and research tests.
On this occasion, the selected students thanked the DFO Khan Maluk and the Wildlife Department for providing them with this important opportunity.
Assistant professor of the Institute of Biological Sciences, Dr. Inam Ullah Marwat, attributed this success to the hard work of the students and the constant educational support of the institution.
He said that such opportunities enable young researchers to play an effective role in national-level research.
The Wildlife Department has termed this move an important step for the development of scientific and research activities, which would further strengthen biological research at the local level.
As per the university administration, this proved that Gomel University researchers could perform standard and effective research at the national level.
