RAWALAKOT: A shocking and violent attack on police personnel in Rawalakot has left authorities and citizens alarmed, as a disturbing video of the incident circulated on social media on Monday. The footage reportedly shows attackers opening fire on law enforcement officers, followed by the desecration of a fallen officer’s body.

Authorities have attributed the attack to militants linked with the banned organization, the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), who allegedly carried out the assault in a premeditated and coordinated operation. Security officials described the incident as a “blatant act of terror,” emphasizing that it exposes the extremist and violent agenda of the group.

Experts noted that the attack, disguised as a form of protest, demonstrates the militants’ disregard for both legal norms and religious or ethical codes. “The desecration of bodies and the brutality of the assault clearly indicate that the group has no connection to Islamic traditions or moral values,” said a security analyst.

The incident has also drawn attention to the role of external actors. Analysts claim that India-backed narratives and anti-Pakistan social media campaigns have attempted to amplify the JAAC’s message through misinformation and AI-generated content. They argue that foreign support for the banned group underscores its broader external connections and objectives.

Within 48 to 72 hours of the attack, security authorities said they were able to trace the leadership’s terrorist intentions, highlighting their alignment with foreign propaganda. Observers contend that the militants’ plan to incite unrest in Azad Kashmir has failed, despite such violent attempts.

The administration has called for calm and assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to investigate the attack and prevent further incidents.
