There have been heated exchanges and scuffles between supporters of the PML-N and PPP at a polling station in Gilgit.

Polling is currently underway in GBA-9 (Constituency 3) of Skardu for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections. Reports indicate that confrontations occurred outside the Sir Syed School polling station in Gilgit, prompting security personnel to restore order.

A total of eight candidates are contesting in GBA-9, where 33,649 registered voters are exercising their right to vote. According to election officials, 54 polling stations have been established in the constituency, with 22 classified as highly sensitive and 4 as sensitive.

Voter registration data shows that there are 17,774 male voters and 15,875 female voters in the constituency. The election process includes 12 male, 12 female, and 30 combined polling stations.

The administration has implemented strict security measures to maintain law and order during the polling process, which is reported to be proceeding peacefully.

However, reports of significant disturbances have emerged from the Eidgah Female Polling Station in Astore, where voters have alleged irregularities in the election process, including claims of arbitrary stamping. The position of the relevant election authorities regarding these allegations has not yet been disclosed.
