Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has done an excellent job in facilitating negotiations, and he expressed his sincere gratitude to the Pakistani people for their support.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Moqadam commented on the delusions of former President Trump, who believed he could engage Iran in negotiations and take action against Hezbollah. He noted that both schools and civilians were targeted in Minab, stating that the US and Israel faced defeat after a 40-day conflict.
Moqadam highlighted that Pakistan has emerged as a mediator in these negotiations, stating that Iran is willing to negotiate because of its intentions for peace. He addressed Trump’s claims regarding nuclear weapons, saying that Iran’s Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa declaring nuclear weapons forbidden. However, he pointed out that during negotiations, Americans assert that Iran should not enrich uranium either.
He differentiated between nuclear weapons and the enrichment of uranium for peaceful purposes, asserting that Iran will never bow to the US or the West. Moqadam criticised Trump, saying he speaks irrationally from morning till night, illustrating that Trump’s belief in negotiating with Iran and taking action against Hezbollah is misguided.
