PESHAWAR: The Excise Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has foiled a drug smuggling bid and seized a huge cache of narcotics from a vehicle on the first day during an operation near Charsadda road in Peshawar.
According to a statement issued by the KP Excise Department, it conducted a major anti-drug operation and recovered 72 kilograms of hashish and 5 kg of ice from a vehicle during the raid.
It mentioned that the raid was conducted by the Excise Bureau of Intelligence near Charsadd road and successfully foiled the smuggling.
The Excise department said that a case had been lodged against the drug peddlers at the Peshawar Region Excise Police Station and launched further interrogation into the case.
The operation was carried out by the EIB team under the supervision of Provincial In-Charge Akif Nawaz Khan on a tip-off
