PESHAWAR: After a comprehensive, transparent and merit-based review, the Departmental Promotion Committees(DPCs) and Institutional Promotion Committees (IPCs) on Sunday approved promotions of 20 faculty members from various departments to the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor at MTI Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Professor Noorul Iman, Chairman of the Board of Governors at MTI Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, said the importance of faculty professional development for maintaining the institution’s educational quality, medical services, and research environment. He highlighted that encouraging and developing capable, hardworking, and talented educators is a top priority, ensuring that merit, transparency, and professional standards are upheld at every level.
These promotions mark the successful completion of a faculty promotion cycle at MTI Hayatabad Medical Complex and its affiliated institutions, including Khyber Girls Medical College, Institute of Kidney Diseases, and the Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre. The promotions had been pending for several years due to various legal and technical issues, but were reactivated and finalised on Friday, May 22.
On this occasion, Dean/CEO Prof. Shahzad Akbar Khan congratulated the promoted faculty members and praised their contributions to teaching, clinical practice, and institutional service, describing this development as a significant milestone in the institution’s educational journey.
