PESHAWAR: On the directions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the newly inducted ministers, advisors, and special assistants in the provincial government have been assigned responsibilities of various departments following their recent inclusion in the cabinet.
Among the newly inducted provincial ministers, Nazir Ahmad Abbasi has been assigned the Energy and Power Department, while Shakeel Ahmed takes charge of the Communication and Works Department. Muhammad Arif has been given the responsibility of the Minerals Department, Tariq Mahmood Aryani will oversee the Revenue and Estate Department, and Shafiullah Jan has been assigned the Information and Public Relations Department.
For the newly included advisors, Pir Musawar Khan Ghazi has been entrusted with the Climate Change, Forests, Environment and Wildlife Department. Liaquat Khan will handle the Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education and Women Empowerment Department. The Industries and Commerce Department has been assigned to Humayun Khan, while Mian Muhammad Umar will oversee the Agriculture Department.
The newly appointed special assistants have also received their respective portfolios. Tariq Saeed has been assigned the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Muhammad Usman will look after the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority, and Tufeel Anjum is tasked with the Population Welfare Department. Iftikharullah Jan takes charge of the Prisons Department, Samiullah Khan has been assigned the Transport and Mass Transit Department, and Malik Adil Iqbal will oversee the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Museums Department. Finally, Muhammad Khursheed has been given the Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives Department, and Muhammad Israr will manage the Food Department.
