ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the latest Israeli troops’ attack on the Samud Gaza flotilla, a fleet of 40 boats carrying over 450 human rights aid workers from 44 countries. The convoy was en route to provide much-needed relief to the citizens of Gaza.

PM Shehbaz Sharif, in expressing his view on social media platform X, formerly known as twitter, expressed grave concern at Israel’s illegal detention of the humanitarian workers and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.

PM Shehbaz further stated that the sole intent of the flotilla was to provide humanitarian assistance to the poor Palestinian population of Gaza.

He referred to the attack as barbaric and demanded such attacks be brought to an end. He emphasized that peace be accorded a good opportunity and that humanitarian aid be allowed to reach the vulnerable without obstruction.
