PESHAWAR (Alif Khan Sherpaw): A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old youth were killed for alleged honour killing in the Mian Kaly area in the limits of Police Station Prang of Charsadda.
According to police sources, the victim, (M) and the youth, Saad, were allegedly shot by the girl’s uncle on suspicion, as a result of which both died on the spot.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot, collected evidence and shifted the bodies to DHQ Hospital Charsadda for postmortem.
Police said that an FIR has been registered on the complaint of the heirs of the victims, and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
According to initial investigations, the incident took place in the name of honour; however, further legal action is underway.
