PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Shahab Ali Shah has said that large-scale investment is expected to come to Pakistan from China, and the provincial government is trying to ensure that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa benefits from this investment to the maximum.

There are immense opportunities for foreign investment in the province, and the provincial government is providing a conducive environment for local industrialists by promoting business-to-business collaboration with Chinese investors.

Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah, was addressing the investment conference organised by the Planning and Development Department via video link to promote business-to-business collaboration between local industrialists and Chinese investors.

The conference was attended by officials of the relevant departments and autonomous bodies of the provincial government, representatives of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries, various business and trade organisations, investors, traders and a large number of foreign investors.

The Chief Secretary said that the business ideas of the participants of this conference would be systematically presented to Chinese investors for investment through the federal government.

CS KP said that this conference was just a beginning, and the series of consultations and interactions with businessmen and industrialists would continue in the future. The participants said that this conference would create new opportunities for the promotion of the industrial sector in the province, attracting foreign investment and for local industrialists to collaborate with Chinese investors.
