Recruitment of junior engineers has begun in the electricity distribution company PESCO. A salary of about 1.5 lakh and attractive benefits will be available after appointment.
Recruitment of junior engineers on a contract basis has begun in the electricity distribution company, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), which will be recruited on an open quota. In this regard, the PESCO notification has stated that junior engineers will be given a monthly package of Rs 148,371. The initial period of appointment is one year; however, it is possible to extend it based on performance.
Those who get the job will be required to serve in PESCO for at least two years. Junior engineers have also been instructed to submit a security bond. The notification states that employees recruited on contract will not get pension facilities; they will be entitled to gratuity and benefits as per PESCO policy.
Junior engineers will be given 25 days of leave per year, and they will be given a traveling allowance as per PESCO rules. They can be posted anywhere else as per the requirement of the organization; however, contract employees will not be included in the seniority list.
The notification also includes a provision for immediate termination in case of misconduct or negligence, while the contract can also be terminated with one month’s notice or in exchange for salary.
