KARACHI: Advisor to the Prime Minister Ikhtiar Wali has claimed that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi is suffering from depression and has written his resignation twice.
Speaking on a private TV show, Advisor to the Prime Minister Ikhtiar Wali said that no work is being done in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was under internal PTI and external public criticism.
Ikhtiar Wali further said that Sohail Afridi was suffering from extreme depression due to these circumstances and had even written his resignation twice.
The Prime Minister’s Advisor said that the people of the province had also understood his drama, it would be better for him to dissolve the assembly, resign and go home, fresh mandates will come in the new elections to run the affairs of the province.
On the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s strike, Mr Wali stated that since the PTI government came into power, the province has been on strike. There are 25,000 schools which lack water and washroom facilities, and animals and humans drink water from the same Ghat.
Ikhtiar Wali alleged that the incumbent government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is involved in corruption and has abandoned approved development schemes. Drug and arms smugglers are being patronised in the province.
The Prime Minister’s advisor said that the province’s development money was being spent on PTI rallies, meetings and social media. In 2022, 13 billion was kept for social media influencers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
