ISLAMABAD: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) offers professionals the chance to be part of a global network serving children and communities worldwide. Currently, over 15,000 staff members are employed in various countries, with 85% working directly in the field.
Young professionals have been urged by the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment to consider their career development options at UNICEF, which provides an ideal opportunity for both personal development and humanitarian services.
The scope of UNICEF extends to more than 190 countries where professionals may apply for jobs in a wide range of sectors including child protection, education, nutrition, emergency, IT, supply, and logistics. Job vacancies can be found under different categories of professionals, including Internships, International Professionals, National Officers, and General Services.

Jobs offered include temporary and short-term contracts as well as fixed-term employment lasting one or two years. Educational requirements include relevant academic qualifications, up to 1-10 years’ experience, and proficiency in English and other UN languages.
The Bureau also pointed out that young professionals could work with UNICEF voluntarily and get international exposure. It is recommended that candidates consult UNICEF’s official website for more information regarding vacancies and applications.
