A young neurosurgeon from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Battagram district, Dr Shah Khalid, has achieved a major milestone in the field of medicine by successfully conducting a highly complex brain surgery and saving a patient’s life.

The patient, identified as Amjad from Mansehra, was suffering from a critically dangerous brain tumour. According to reports, experienced specialists in Dubai and India had previously been unable to perform the intricate procedure.

Dr Khalid, however, accepted the challenge and carried out the surgery at a government hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, successfully removing the tumour.

Speaking about the operation, the neurosurgeon said the procedure was technically demanding and was performed without putting the patient under full general anaesthesia. The tumour was completely removed during the surgery.

Following the successful operation, the patient has made a full recovery and is now out of danger. The achievement has been widely praised by the public and social circles, who have termed it a proud moment for the country and a testament to the capabilities of young medical professionals in Pakistan.
