The government announced new prices of petroleum products, increasing Petrol prices by Rs 6.51 while the price of high-speed diesel increased by Rs 19.39.
A notification of new prices of petroleum products has been issued; the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 6.51 per liter while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 19.39 per liter, after which the new price of high-speed diesel has been set at Rs 399.58 per liter. The new price of petrol has been set at Rs 399.86 per litre. The new prices will be applicable from 12 midnight tonight.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of OGRA says that fake news about the alleged strike of petroleum dealers is circulating on social media; no petroleum association has announced any kind of strike.
Unusual rush at pumps along with rumors of an increase in prices of petroleum products, as tomorrow is a holiday on May 1, the announcement of changes in prices is likely to be made today.
