KARAK: District Police Officer (DPO) Karak, Imran Khan, addressed a press conference to announce that the police have successfully solved the mystery surrounding the Babar Adeel murder case following a high-stakes encounter.
According to the DPO, the breakthrough occurred last night during an exchange of fire between the police and motorcycle-riding suspects. One suspect was killed during the encounter, while the other was apprehended in an injured condition and is currently in police custody.
During the initial investigation, the arrested suspect confessed to his involvement in the killing of Babar Adeel. The DPO revealed that the motive behind the crime was a robbery; the suspects had snatched a motorcycle from the victim a few days ago and opened fire, killing him when he offered resistance. Police have successfully recovered the murder weapon and the snatched motorcycle from the suspects’ possession. The individuals involved, identified as Mujahid and Muhammad, are originally from Gadikhel but had been residing in the Ganderi area.
DPO Imran Khan highlighted that special police teams were formed immediately after the murder took place, and this success was the result of continuous, dedicated action. While the main accused has been neutralised or captured, the investigation process remains ongoing to extract more important revelations from the surviving suspect. The district police chief reaffirmed that the force remained committed to bringing such criminals to justice to ensure the safety of the citizens of Karak.
