ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over reports of a shooting incident during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held in Washington, D.C.
In a message shared on social media, the prime minister conveyed his shock at the incident and extended his best wishes to former US president Donald Trump.
He said he was deeply disturbed upon hearing the news but expressed relief that president Trump, along with other attendees including the First Lady, remained safe.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also offered prayers for the continued safety and well-being of Donald Trump and all those present at the event, reaffirming solidarity in the face of such incidents.
