ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) foiled an attempt of illegal entry of Afghan nationals to Pakistan on fake documents and deported two persons, including a woman, to Afghanistan via the Torkham border.

Official sources told Pakhtun Digital that the FIA Immigration cell carried out successful action against an Afghan family who were making entry on forged documents via the Torkham border. It is not known what was the motive of the family for entry into Pakistan without a proper visa. However, the family was later deported via the Torkham border and handed over to Afghan authorities.

The passengers included Abdul Mateen and Bibi Asma, while making entry on the passport of another person named Ziarmal Siddique, while Bibi Asma also tried to come to Pakistan on a similar passport.

The passengers belonged to Afghanistan, and both of them were deported back to Afghanistan. It may be recalled here that Afghan residents sometimes use the Chaman border for entry to the country for treatment and business purposes; however, due to strict measures of the authorities, the entry of Afghan nationals has been restricted to Pakistan without a visa.

Sometimes, Afghan families have cancer patients and need urgent care to travel to Pakistan but due to visa delay, they are being forced to reach the border without documents to attempt entry to treat their cancer patients.
