PESHAWAR: The rapid spread of dengue continues across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and with 95 cases in the past 24 hours, it now seems to be beyond control.

According to the KP health department, 43 patients are currently in the hospital in the region. Charsadda district is the most affected area, reporting a total of 892 cases. Other affected districts have included Mansehra (285), Haripur (227) and Peshawar (143).

Health experts have urged people to take precautionary measures, including not allowing water to collect in gullies and homes, and using mosquito nets.

In response to the rising infections, the provincial government has ordered scaling up the intervention controls that were earlier claimed to dramatically control the outbreak of the virus.
