The funeral prayers of three persons, including two innocent children who were martyred as a result of Afghan aggression in the border area of Katkot, Bajaur, have been offered.
A large number of senior officers of the security forces, local elders, and residents of the area attended the funeral prayers and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
After the funeral prayers, senior officials of the security forces also visited the affected house, where they expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and assured the bereaved family of all possible cooperation.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Afghan Taliban started unprovoked shelling on a civilian population within Pakistani borders, resulting in the death of three people from the same house, while three others were seriously injured.
Residents of Bajaur have strongly condemned this cowardly act of the Afghan Taliban and expressed complete solidarity with the Pakistan Army and security forces. Locals say that targeting innocent civilians and children is extremely regrettable, and they stand by their forces to defend the country.
Security officials said on this occasion that the safety of the lives and property of the people will be ensured at all costs and any cross-border adventure will be responded to with a strong response.
Security forces are always vigilant and determined on the borders to establish lasting peace in the region and thwart every conspiracy of the enemy.
