The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a Rs 1,000 billion Roshan Package in the new fiscal year budget, indicating large-scale changes in the development of education and health sectors for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and merged districts.

According to sources, this major development package includes projects equipped with modern facilities in tribal and settled districts, including the establishment of a health city, a sensitive forest program, the establishment of a tribal medical college and a tribal university.

The government has also decided to establish a second university in the tribal areas, while under revolutionary measures in the education sector, approval has been given to establish virtual classrooms and bag-free schools. Students in these schools will not be required to bring school bags. No, all educational materials will be provided in the institutions. Such schools will be established in different districts of the province, including Peshawar, which will help reduce the burden on students and promote modern education.

In addition, the government has also decided to establish new schools for special children, while a self-employment scheme is also being introduced for disabled children, under which they will be provided easy loans to start a business. Sources say that these important proposals have been approved in principle for the budget of the new fiscal year and practical progress on these projects is expected to begin soon.
