In 2026, the trend of electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan is growing rapidly, especially in the segment of cars priced under 60 lakh, making them more accessible to middle-class buyers.

Previously, EVs were limited to the luxury category, but now companies are introducing budget-friendly options. In this range, the MG Binguo has emerged as one of the most popular choices, offering a range of around 270 km along with modern features. Similarly, the Honri VE stands out as Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric hatchback, available between 40–50 lakh and known for its lower maintenance costs. Other options like the JMEV EV3 are gaining attention due to good range and fast charging capability, while the GUGO GIGI and Inverex XIO cater to users looking for affordable city-driving solutions.

This development marks a significant shift in Pakistan’s automotive market, as electric cars are becoming more affordable and practical for everyday use. With local assembly and the entry of international manufacturers, prices are expected to decrease further in the coming years.

Most EVs in this category offer a range between 180 to 300 km, which is sufficient for daily commuting, while their charging cost is significantly lower compared to petrol vehicles. Additionally, EVs require less maintenance since they do not rely on engine oil or complex mechanical systems. Overall, these factors indicate that Pakistan is gradually moving towards electric mobility, and the EV market is expected to expand even more in the near future.
