KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan jumped on Saturday, with 24-karat gold rising by Rs1,900 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

The new price of 24K gold now stands at Rs397,700 per tola, reflecting a sharp increase from the previous day. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24K gold went up by Rs1,629 to Rs340,963, while 10 grams of 22K gold increased by Rs1,493 to Rs312,560.

International prices also edge higher

The domestic price hike mirrors trends in the global market, where gold gained $19 per ounce, reaching $3,759.

Analysts linked the surge to volatility in global markets, currency fluctuations, and renewed investor demand for safe-haven assets.
