DIR UPPER: Elite Force ASI Badshah Yousuf (residing in Dera Ismail Khan) was martyred in the firing of suspects in Manu Banda within the limits of Gandigar police station.
The deceased was on leave at his home and was targeted while returning home after Taraweeh prayers. The body was shifted to Bibewar Hospital for legal action.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, DPO Dir Bala Aslam Nawaz (PSP) took strict notice and formed various teams under the supervision of SDPO Circle Wadi Fakhr Alam Khan and started a search operation in the area and issued raid orders to arrest the suspects. DPO Dir Bala himself directly supervised the operation, immediately visited Hospital Bibewar, inspected the crime scene and reviewed the ongoing operation.
During the search operation, SHO Police Station Gandigar Muhammad Nazir Khan arrested the accused Ayub son of Haji Muhammad and Muhammad Ayaz son of Zarin, residents of Anarkan Shringal, Hal Manu Banda. According to the initial investigation, the reason for the incident is said to be a dispute over Mastoorat between the parties, while further investigation is underway.
DPO Upper Dir Aslam Nawaz said that there is no place for criminal elements in Upper Dir. Strict action will be taken against those who take the law into their own hands and the protection of lives and property of citizens will be ensured at all costs.
