ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has carried out a major cross-border operation targeting seven alleged terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, with the number of militants killed rising to 28, according to security sources.
The operation targeted specific locations which intelligence showed to be used by militant groups who conducted terrorist attacks across Pakistan. Sources reported that the operation targeted sites which contained elements that worked along the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The military operation executed by authorities targeted specific militant facilities to stop all future cross-border assaults. The situation developed after recent bombing events and terrorist operations which occurred throughout the entire country.
Sources reported that the targeted facilities sustained major destruction even though officials have not shared complete details about their operations. The organization will release new information when further details come to light.
Pakistan has declared its top priority to protect its citizens while it demands that Afghanistan prevent militant groups from using its territory to attack Pakistan.
