ABBOTTABAD: A student was killed, and two others were injured when a clash erupted between two student groups at the University of Science and Technology Abbottabad in the Havelian area of Abbottabad here on Wednesday afternoon.

Azam Sher Afzal, spokesperson for the Abbottabad police, told Pakhtun Digital that a clash had erupted between two student groups in the limits of Havelian police station, resulting in the killing of a student and the injury of two others.

According to initial information, Abdullah, son of Khanzada, age 23, resident of Kelag Haripur, was killed, while Ahsan, son of Asif, resident of Mirpur, and Rehan, son of Abdul Shakoor, resident of Kehal, were injured. Other investigations are underway.

The police spokesperson said that the police party has controlled the situation, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the incident.
