BANNU: Commander 116 Brigade, Brigadier Umair Niazi paid an important visit to Police Station Hoveed, Police Post Sheikh Landak, Hoveed Bazar, Village Sheikh Landak, Village Top Takhtikhel and paid tribute to police personnel and local people for showing courage against terrorists
The main objective of this visit was to acknowledge the courageous and commendable role of police personnel and local population against terrorists during the recent clashes. During the visit, the Brigade Commander appreciated the excellent coordination and mutual cooperation between the police and the local people for the establishment of law and order. He said in his address that “The solidarity of the people and law enforcement agencies is the real guarantor of lasting peace. The way the police and the local people fought the evil elements together is an example for the entire nation.”
On this occasion, the elders of the area and local elders assured the Brigade Commander that they stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army and Police for the establishment of peace. The elders reiterated their firm commitment to remain united against the evil elements and to fully cooperate in uprooting any kind of anti-national activity.
At the end of the visit, cash awards were distributed by the Regional Peace and Reconciliation Committee among the police personnel and local people who had shown bravery in the recent incidents. The purpose of distributing these awards was to encourage the soldiers and citizens fighting on the frontline and further strengthen their confidence.
The visit has further strengthened the atmosphere of trust between the security forces and the people in the area, which will prove to be a positive step towards lasting peace in the region.
