PESHAWAR: The Chief Capital Police Officer, Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed, has launched an inquiry against three Station House Officers (SHOs) of various police stations of the city over allegations of financial corruption.
During an extensive meeting aimed at addressing the rising crime rates in the provincial capital, Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed ordered the three SHOs to report to the line. The officers from Phandu, Pakhta, and Sharqi police stations have been removed from their posts due to these allegations and poor performance.
Reliable sources indicated that it was revealed during the meeting that some members of the encroachment mafia had fled the country during an operation. A plan was devised to facilitate their return, allowing them to face legal consequences in court.
Dr Mian Saeed emphasised that there is no place for criminals and the encroachment mafia in Peshawar, asserting that these individuals will be severely punished as a deterrent to others.
The five-hour meeting focused on strategies for controlling crime in the area.
KP Police announce jobs
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police announced around 2,400 posts for constables and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) force on Wednesday. The posts have been advertised with the last date of application submission.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police official’s Facebook page, 2151 posts have been sanctioned for the post of constable for various regions of the province, while 229 Special Security Unit (SSU) constables are being recruited for the security of CPEC projects.
The KP police instructed the police force to apply for the posts through ETEA according to your district quota. According to the details, the Peshawar region was allocated 220 constable seats and 1 SSU, while Mardan received 88 police posts and 3 SSU.
Similarly, the Malakand region has been given 457 police constables and 1 SSU seat. The Hazara division got 207 constables and 210 SSU. Whereas, Kohat region was allocated 331 constables and seven SSU.
Also, the Bannu region has given 162 police, while 4 SSU will be recruited to the region. Similarly, the most vulnerable region, DI Khan, will hire 686 police constables and 3 SSU in the current police recruitment.
