The Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) has released its annual performance report for the year 2025, which includes data on medical facilities provided to patients, treatment, surgeries, disease cases, and institutional progress.
According to the report, 939,947 patients were examined in the OPD and Accident and Emergency departments of Hayatabad Medical Complex during the year 2025. During the same period, 1881,846 patients benefited from the laboratory department, while 298,933 patients were provided with diagnostic facilities in the X-ray department.
The report states that this year, 42,810 dengue patients were reported, 48 hepatitis patients were treated, while 225 tuberculosis (TB) patients were provided medical facilities. About 6,000 patients were affected by influenza. 2,810 surgeries were performed in the cardiology department, while a total of 98,102 minor and major surgeries were performed in various departments.
Besides, 135 children with congenital deafness were operated on. 26,643 cancer patients were treated, while 518 stroke patients recovered. Besides this, 5,497 HIV/AIDS patients remained under treatment, and 325 new patients were registered. During the year 2025, the hospital upgraded wards and clinical areas, improved biomedical equipment management, improved IT systems, security, and facilities systems.
The implementation of the emergency triage system improved patient pressure management, while work was also done on the establishment and expansion of the spine unit. According to the report, the implementation of infection control, patient safety, quality assurance, and safety protocols was further strengthened. Nursing services played a role in patient care, while health awareness activities at the community level also continued.
Under regulatory affairs, Hayatabad Medical Complex obtained the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission’s licensing and accreditation standards, conducted regular clinical audits, and maintained a complaints registration and redressal system. The report also mentioned measures related to staff professional development, including recruitment, promotions, training workshops, seminars, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for medical and administrative staff.
