SAWAT: The season’s first snowfall has transformed Swat into a breathtaking winter wonderland, attracting a large number of tourists to the hill resort of Malam Jabba.

After weeks of dry weather, the snowfall in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa blanketed the mountains in white, restoring the valley’s winter charm. As the snow began to fall, visitors flocked to Malam Jabba to experience the scenery, enjoy chairlift rides, and take in the natural beauty of the area.

Families, including women and children, were seen embracing the cold weather and playing on the snow-covered slopes.

The chairlift became a major attraction, offering stunning views of snow-clad peaks and dense pine forests. Tourists described the experience as refreshing, stating that the snowfall enhanced the resort’s appeal and created a memorable outing.

Visitors arriving from various parts of the country praised the northern regions as one of Pakistan’s most valuable natural assets. They noted that Malam Jabba’s serene environment and recent snowfall provided a welcome escape from their daily routines.

Meanwhile, local authorities and tourism officials welcomed the increase in visitor numbers but urged tourists to remain vigilant, citing slippery roads and harsh weather conditions.
