A grand meeting was held in Tehsil Takht Nusrati Press Club at Amberi Qala, demanding the early and safe recovery of the kidnapped worker of Talha Foundation, Engineer Wasif Hussain.
The meeting was chaired by former provincial agriculture minister and member of the provincial assembly Muhammad Sajjad Barakwal. The meeting was attended by a large number of regional elders, elected representatives, political and social leaders, and people belonging to different schools of thought.
The meeting discussed in detail various suggestions and possible measures for the recovery of engineer Wasif Hussain, after which a five-member committee was unanimously formed to effectively communicate with the relevant authorities and take forward the future course of action.
The committee formed includes Major Sajjad Barakwal, former Nazim and Chairman of the National Movement, Takht Nusrati Khushal Muhammad Farhat, Tehsil Mayor Takht Nusrati Sajjad Ahmed Khattak, President of Khattak Ittehad Al-Haj Mudassar Ayub, and General Secretary Noor Muhammad, while Awami National Party leader Imtiaz, former Chairman Sahib Gul, and others were also part of the committee.
The meeting decided that a regular meeting will be held with the Commissioner Kohat and DIG Kohat on Monday, for which a systematic and concrete plan of action will be decided, so that the next plans of action can be decided.
The participants strongly condemned the kidnapping of Engineer Wasif Hussain and demanded that the government and law enforcement agencies take immediate steps to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted person and bring the responsible elements to justice.
