DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday dismissed what he termed “baseless propaganda” against him, asserting that he fears no one and would personally inform the public if he planned to go anywhere.

Speaking to the media in Dera Ismail Khan, Gandapur said PTI founder Imran Khan is facing what he described as unjust imprisonment and “false and fabricated cases.” He alleged that Imran Khan is being denied justice and that the Constitution and rule of law are being mocked.

“I strongly condemn these undemocratic actions,” Gandapur said, adding that if a family meeting has been scheduled, authorities should allow a meeting with Imran Khan without delay.

When‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ talking about the provincial leadership, Gandapur mentioned that Sohail Afridi is as dear to him as a brother and is currently working as the chief minister. Besides, he added that the development projects that were initiated during his term are still going on.

In a very determined manner, Gandapur confirmed that he would continue to be a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for his entire life. “I do not fear anyone,” he ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌said. If I go anywhere, I will inform people myself,” he said.

He also rejected allegations and speculation surrounding his meeting with Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani and the Governor of Punjab at a public fair, calling the claims unjustified propaganda. Gandapur urged critics to abandon “propaganda and drama” and focus instead on serving the public.
