ABBOTTABAD: Female Doctor who was medical officer in District Headquarter Hospital Abbottabad was allegedly kidnaped for ransom, however police has taken custody of her close friend working with him for long time.
Father of Warda Mushtaq told police that her daughter had handed over some gold as a trust with his friend and later she was reluctant to hand over her gold on various pretext. He said that on December o4, she was called by her friend to her house to handover gold to her, however she could not return and her phone not responding for the last two days.
Police have detained the woman’s close friend and her husband on the report of the doctor’s father. Abbottabad police have detained the wife of businessman Waheed, who is associated with the textile business, and have started investigation.
Police added that Abbottabad female doctor had left the gold with her friend while going abroad to meet her husband. Abbottabad female doctor had demanded the return of the gold from her friend upon returning from abroad and on Thursday left the hospital with her friend to collect the gold and allegedly went missing.
The doctors’ association and other hospital staff have called for a protest and strike over the non-recovery of the missing doctor by the Abbottabad police. However, the police have detained the missing doctor’s close friend.
