LAHORE: A total of 50,000 scholarship cards have been announced for Pakistani youth under the Hunarmand Punjab Advanced IT and Technical Training Programme, with applications set to close on August 21, 2026.

The initiative aims to equip young people with digital and technical skills through training programmes covering more than 30 fields. According to the programme details, 25,000 scholarship cards have been allocated for Punjab, while another 25,000 are reserved for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan.

Eligibility Criteria

Pakistani citizens aged 15 to 50 years with at least a matriculation-level education are eligible to apply.

Applicants will be required to secure at least 85% marks in the final evaluation test to qualify for the merit-based scholarship benefits, subject to fulfilment of other programme requirements.

The announced rewards vary according to test performance. Candidates scoring 85% may qualify for fee reimbursement, while those securing 86–88% could receive solar panels. Scores of 89–91% may qualify candidates for a Chromebook, while those achieving 92–94% could receive a laptop. Candidates scoring 95% or above may be eligible for an e-bike. The programme also advertises paid internships and other benefits.

Courses Offered

The training programme includes courses in artificial intelligence, digital marketing, web development, graphic design, e-commerce, cybersecurity, data science, freelancing, video editing, app development and YouTube monetisation.

Other options reportedly include Amazon Virtual Assistant, Shopify and Daraz business, WordPress, React and Node.js, MERN Stack, PHP Laravel, Python programming, machine learning, SEO, Google Ads, IELTS preparation, textile designing, digital embroidery and penetration testing.

The programme is designed to provide young Pakistanis with market-oriented digital and technical skills and expand access to training opportunities across the country.
