PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has suspended 45 teachers who were dismissed for prolonged absences and for moving abroad.

Additionally, action has been recommended against over 300 more teachers. Following the Chief Secretary’s approval, the relevant District Education Officers have issued official notifications regarding these dismissals.

The affected teachers include both male and female instructors from various categories, such as CT (Child Teachers), IT (Information Technology), and others. Officials explain that these teachers had been absent from duty for an extended period and failed to respond despite multiple show-cause notices being issued.

There are also reports indicating that some teachers have relocated abroad. Furthermore, sources suggest that the measures against absent teachers will expand in the Malakand Division and tribal districts, with hundreds of teachers already receiving final show-cause notices.
