ORAKZAI: At least 15 passengers were injured after a passenger coach veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in the Hundera Mor area of Uthman Khel in Orakzai district, police said.
According to police, the accident occurred after the vehicle’s brakes reportedly failed, causing the coach to lose control before falling into a gorge.
Rescue teams and local residents rushed to the scene and shifted the injured passengers to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities said an investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.

Meanwhile, at least five people have died and four others remain missing after a boat carrying members of a family capsized at Saifullah Lake in Kalam, local authorities said.
According to initial reports, nine members of the same family were on board when the boat overturned.
Officials said the bodies of five victims were recovered from the Mahodand area, while a search operation is underway to locate the remaining four missing passengers.
Local volunteers have joined rescue efforts and are assisting authorities in the ongoing search operation.
The cause of the incident has not yet been determined, and officials said further details would be released as the rescue operation continues.
