PISHIN: At least eight Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred and another was injured when militants ambushed an FC party on the Pishin-Ziarat Road on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 12:10pm on September 3, 2026, when a party of 134 Wing, under the command of Major Salahuddin and operating from FC Headquarters MBG, was moving toward Kutch Mor, around 3 to 4 kilometres ahead of Ziarat Cross in Pishin, to establish a new post.
According to the preliminary reports, militants had established a roadblock (naka) at the location and launched an ambush on the FC party, which was accompanied by a squad from the Assistant Commissioner Harnai’s security detail.
The FC personnel responded to the attack, triggering an exchange of fire between the two sides.
So far, three FC personnel have been reported martyred and one injured, while 11 militants were reportedly killed during the engagement.
The exchange of fire was continuing from both sides at the time of the report.
A military helicopter also reached the incident site to provide reinforcement and support to the security personnel engaged in the operation.
