SWABI: At least 11 passengers were killed and seven others injured in a terrible traffic accident near Ismaila Khawary kotay area Swat Expressway near Swabi.
According to the police, the accident occurred as a result of a passenger van colliding with a bus. According to initial investigations, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the van driver. Rescue teams and police personnel immediately reached the accident site and started rescue operations, and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where the condition of some of the injured is said to be critical.
Motorway police say that further investigations into the accident are underway, while the process of identifying the deceased has also been started. After the incident, the atmosphere in the area became mournful, and citizens have expressed concern over the increasing incidents of speeding and reckless driving.
