ISLAMABAD: Fast bowler Zaman Khan has suffered a shoulder injury during the National T20 Tournament, putting his participation in the upcoming Pakistan Super League in doubt.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the pacer sustained the injury during a match between Peshawar and Faisalabad, where his shoulder joint was dislocated.
The PCB has directed Zaman Khan to report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, where the board’s medical panel will assess his condition and devise a recovery and rehabilitation plan.
Officials said the fast bowler may require four to six weeks to regain full fitness.
Zaman Khan was included in the squad of Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming PSL season. His availability for the tournament will depend on his recovery in the coming weeks.

Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, visited the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Wednesday and inspected the preparations for matches commencing from March 7.
The Advisor was accompanied by Secretary Sports KP, Muhammad Asif and Director General of Sports Tashfeen Haider. During the visit, the Sports Advisor evaluated the preparations at the stadium for the upcoming National T20 Tournament, which is set to begin in Ramadan.
