PESHAWAR: A young man was shot dead in Peshawar when a mobile snatching bid backfired after he resisted the muggers.

According to police sources, the incident took place on Doura Road, where certain unidentified suspects tried to snatch a mobile phone from a youth resident of Garhi Qamardin area of Peshawar. On resistance, the muggers fired shots and killed the victim.

Police and forensic teams arrived at the scene soon after receiving the information and took possession of shell casings and other evidence.

A case was registered against unknown attackers on a complaint from the victim’s father and further investigation is underway.

Similarly, two persons, a father and son, lost their lives in a shooting incident occurred in Shadi Khel area of Takht-e-Nasrati tehsil of Karak district, reportedly over a minor dispute.

According to reports, a father and son in Bajaur district were shot dead on the excuse of a quarrel over honey bee boxes.

The corpses were identified as Hikmatullah (father) and Nematullah (son), and both victims died on the spot.

Following the shooting, the police reached the spot of the crime and moved the bodies to Takht-e-Nasrati hospital for post-mortem. The police registered a case and started investigation.
